The Certs have just dropped their new single "Intuition", and people are saying it's their best song to date. This time the boys worked with one of the best music producers in the business. Pete Hutchings.
Having recently finished the latest album from The Amazons, Pete was keen to work with The Certs after hearing the demo that was sent over to him. The boys jumped at the chance, and after spending 3 days in the Chapel Lane studio, the result went above and beyond all expectations. Pete somehow seems to have incorporated sounds from all the bands he has worked with, from Royal Blood, Foals to Nothing But Thieves.

The Certs have matured very quickly in terms of their sound, and are already sounding like a well establilshed band way beyond their years. This is down to Carter and Amos working closer when it comes to writing the songs. This current song started off as a bit of a rift Amos created whilst performing at last years Lakefest festival. Whilst need enjoying cmoing, Carter was struggling to get any sleep, and Amos simply played a chord and began to sing, "don't sleep, don't sleep" Carter saw something in this, and before you know it had written the song about being so into something or someone, that you lose all your inhibitions and intuition. The song was featured again on BBC Introducing, making it 3 out of 3 for their last singles. It is currently gaining traction across a number of radio stations and seems to be appearing on more and more playlists.

"Working with Pete was amazing" said Carter. "Watching him do what he does so close makes you realise why he is one of the best in the business. He seems to be able to see exactly where the song should go, but works with you, rather than tell you. It was an amazing experience, and the finished product speaks for itself. We are all incredibly happy." Amos also commented, "It was great to work with someone who also had an ear to hear every tiny detail. Not everyone can hear a sightly longer breath or the tiniest of sounds, that are normally never picked up by anyone else, but Pete seemed as tuned in as we were, and once we pointed the sound out, he could find exactly where it was and remove it."

The new single is available on all streaming platforms now.
